Vertixs is a technology company specializing in developing innovative solutions for the stock exchange and financial markets.
Requirements:
Currently we are looking for 30 programmers who are looking join a dynamic I.T company focusing on the stock exchange. The selected team will jointly participate in developing financial application for the stock exchange market. Maximum development time is 120 days.
In exchange for financial stipend, VERTIXS will be providing the technical training and exposure to the financial modules that the stock exchange market require.
Candidates who have demonstrated technical competence will be potentially employed to manage and service the developed financial modules to several stock exchanges within the South East Asia region. Target employed programmers is set at 20 after the completion of the financial modules.
For those who do not qualify for employment with VERTIXS, your participation will be an asset to your resume when applying to Banks, Stock Exchange, MNCs, Major International I.T Company, Financial Broking houses and Financial Investment houses.
Job Description
You will be working on the development of parts of a financial trading application that is being built using Java and open source technologies. You will be working on the latest technologies and be exposed to an exciting application area with excellent future career prospects.
Required Skills
• Strong Java fundamentals and at least 3 years of Java development experience.
• Experience in database development using MySQL, SQL Server or Oracle
• Experience with JMS-based messaging and ActiveMQ is desirable
• Experience in web development using Ajax, Struts or Hibernate frameworks is desirable
• Experience in source-code control and build tools such as Subversion or Maven would be advantageous
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Ruby, Python or Jython

Intern participation:
Due to the data sensitivity of the financial modules that are in development progress, majority of the development work will be done at our partner development office in UBI Technology Park.
Part of the financial modules can be development off-site which represents less than 20% of the entire project. Therefore interns are expected to be working on site and speed of quality delivery is of essence.
There will be intense competition for this financial prototype development. Interested candidates are urge to submit their interest to:
