Front Panel Control Software Development

Responsibilities:
• Design of the front panel control software architecture for our test equipment
• Develop the keypad controller on a PowerPC in an embedded Linux environment

Position (B) – PowerPC Control Software Development

Responsibility:
• Specify, design, implement and code the Control Processor of our test equipment
Additional Responsibilities for both (A) & (B):
• Product development for Test & Measurement Instruments
• Configuration management involving integration of software modules and appropriate operating systems into the overall instrument, performing functional and software tests, as well as analysing and eliminating errors
• Quality assurance
Requirements:
• Master’s/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering or Computer/Software Engineering
• At least 5-7 years’ relevant experience in object-oriented software design and programming in C++, QT and UML for embedded systems
– Professional work experience in software design and implementation at driver and board support package level
– Professional knowledge of embedded processor architectures (PowerPC and PC-based architectures), real-time operating systems, Windows XP Embedded and embedded Linux operating systems
– Professional work experience in network technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP)
– Professional work experience in software architecture and implementation of GUI Software
• Proficiency in Visual C++, debugging tools and administration tools (e.g. version control software Clear Case)
• Basic knowledge of communications theory and digital signal processing
• Knowledge of digital and analogue receiver technology will be an advantage
